I love travel and read a lot of travel blogs, but it always seems to me that people must have loads of money to travel so well. 5 star hotels and business class flights don’t come cheap! But here’s the thing, travelling well and seeing the world doesn’t have to be expensive, and that’s why I’ve started this blog. Hopefully, I’ll be able to show you just how accessible travel can be and that you don’t have to compromise on quality just because you’re on a budget.
I’ll leave a note at the bottom of the post saying how things were booked, how much we paid and how many frequent flyer or hotel loyalty points I’ve earned. The points are a key thing. There’s loads of blogs and resources online already telling you how to maximise your points balance from everyday spending (Head for Points is my favourite), so I generally won’t cover that, but by showing you how many points I’ve earned or spent will hopefully show how easy it is to save big bucks on travelling well.
And finally, as you will see from the picture, my other half is also a dude. I don’t want to entirely focus on LGBT travel, but we’re very careful in where we choose to travel to and if we didn’t experience any difficulties, chances are that other LGBT couples won’t either.
